   My Vortex8 Portfolio Website was created while amidst my studies in the IMT Program. What is IMT? A specialized Information Multimedia Technology 2 year degree offered by Miracosta College.

   Under influence from instructors Arlene Gibson & Wade Rollins, I entered my site into its first competition. At 80megs, 100's of hours of work, and bedtime at 5:00am I figured why not.

   Behold my surprise when I receive a glorious letter from the Del Mar Fair Awards Comission. It didn't tell me what I won, but congratulated me, and invited me to a special awards banquet. I then proceeded to go into the Del Mar Fair Web Page to be led to a Student Winners page.

   I almost fell off my chair when I saw it. I had won Best of Show in the Internet Publishing Division.

Special Thanks to the Del Mar Fair, Union Tribune, and all who made the Student Showcase possible.

I would also like to thank Mira Costa College for giving me the Skills & Server space to make the site possible!

I also won a second place ribbon in the Graphics Division. It was for a project for my Photoshop final in school. A "Fictional" Book Cover entitled Femme Atomika
